On abortion, why is the U.S. a "theocracy" when our federal rules are like those of Europe and Canada?

The term “human organism” is a concocted term in an effort to be able to strategically apply a word to any and all of a human embryo, a human fetus, and a human being, in order to ascribe the personhood concept earlier than many moral and rational people believe is warranted.

And I find offensive and disingenuous your attempt to object to the personhood discussion. Those who disregard the humanity of (born) human beings would be historically most likely the same people who have the most repressive views on women’s rights. The incremental effort to provide fetuses more and more rights earlier and earlier is a thinly veiled effort to perpetuate traditional and conservative social norms on women, which has the effect of increasing their reliance on men. I won’t buy it, and thankfully more and more Americans won’t as well.
