I really enjoyed the encounter with the forest stranger. Couldn’t tell who was in the right/wrong until it became quite obvious.

The famous bear scene did not do it for me, unfortunately. A bunch of quick close-ups of a bear roaring, and tent flapping, some light gore and suddenly the guy is outside 90% eaten?

I enjoyed the rest of it, even the end when the certified creeper forest guy is who rushes to her rescue as she finds civilization. Sure it confirms he wasn’t lying about his job…but when I think about what happens after the movie, I see him giving a statement in a heroic manner when we was definitely creepy about her underwear earlier. But I dig bleak endings so that doesn’t bother me very much, beyond frustration.
