Remote job wants to pay me below my state minimum wage

you're entitled to federal wage min or the min state wage for where the business resides. california cannot force a business from some other state to pay someone their min wage. california can only enforce businesses paying min wage for businesses that reside in their own state.

You seem to have a weird boner for underpaying labor

i made no statements supporting underpaying labor. i specifically have been advocating the whole time for market rate pay. i'm saying if the business can fill a job for cheaper, then that means they were able to fill the job for cheaper. if they ask for too little pay, then they won't be able to fill the job. i'm saying that the market naturally finds what is acceptable or not acceptable pay. you think people are just entitled to min wage regardless of skills, experience, or education and all businesses for all full time jobs even if the market would naturally find people who are willing to do the job for less. in fact, you're saying even if adults are completely honestly truly consenting, it's still unethical.
