And it doesnt really happen like that. There is counseling. There is some true introspection. There is a period of withdrawl and pain. Its still a process to learn to control our impulses.

But really the biggest issue ive seen in folks that either get sober or dont is why they did it. Many folks get forced into sobriety due to legal troubles or health issues. If you arent fixing yourself and curing your addiction because you want to, relapse and disappointment are inevitable.

But the only reason i know these possibilities is because ive watched countless friends and family members go through it. Ive seen some fail at aa and then succeed with SOS or Moderation Management. I have had 8 friends that were in aa/na commit suicide. Not one in moderation management or sos.
