I don't think people are specifically trying to rule, although there are some people that are power hungry who do use movements like this for power and it's just sick and sad.
With stuff like the LGBT community people really just want to fit in because humans are tribal in nature. A lot of people end up living in a place or time where they are afraid of being ostracized or even literally beaten or hurt because they're gay so they think they need to be something new. But that just gets so tribalisitic and us vs. them. I think the identity we should clamour for is our cultural identity and all the values it holds. So you don't need to have a lisp or listen ot shitty techno music in a club.
Seriously I'm into masculine guys and I saw a club full of gay bears (giant beefcake dads and/or fat dads) and they were all listening to the fucking gayest shit I've ever heard and I couldn't even masturbate to the following scene cause this was in a porno. Or like some gigantic massive hunk of meat starts talking and a squeaky voice comes out.
The worst part I've noticed is that promiscuity is celebrated and expected. I'm not talking about going ot the bar and picking someone i'm. I'm talking like, going gay cruising websites constantly, and going to gay bath houses constantly. Or things like BDSM shit in the gay pride and massive amounts of really excessive nudity. I guess if you identify by your sexuality, there really is no way to showcase it other than with sexuality. It feels as if people who just want a normal life and to settle down are non existant when all the loudest ones are cumming rainbows to crowds of people who are celebrating how far we've come.
It's all so toxic and I'm not even in a big town, this is just what I see from the other parts of the world seep into my life through people and a few small amount of people I know. I can't imagine how worse it is for people who are immersed in it.
Being gay is shitty feeling because of the LGBT community, and of course the other bullshit. I just want to be normal.
