I believe that feminism is entirely unnecessary in the first world and doing more harm to women and men than good. TMBR.

There is no one stopping women from doing things in first world countries. You're a woman and you want to be a scientist? Or a lawyer? or a doctor? You have all the means to do that. Yeah sure there will be a lot more men in those fields and it might make the women in those fields a little uncomfortable, but no individual is consciously oppressing women in that respect. Men experience the same phenomenon when they go into the few female dominated fields like nursing.

Women in first world countries can do ANYTHING they want. They can dress however they want, live on their own anywhere they want, say whatever they want, and if they do happen to break the law, at least in the US, they get a mild punishment because they're not men.

Practicing feminism in a first world country is an insult to all the women out there who are ACTUALLY suffering in the world. There are women out there that can't drive. Who can be thrown in prison for miscarriaging. There are women out there who cannot live a life without suffering unless they marry a man. A man who may or may not rape and beat his wife mercilessly because women are property in their society. Those women need our help. Those women need feminism. Not American women or British women or German women. In those countries men are equal to women.
