I never said they were the same. In fact, I said they were very different. I also pointed out that picking one threat out of many in order to pinpoint a specific demographic group is a common racist tactic. This meme has picked exactly one threat: white, american born, male terrorists. It has called this the greatest threat to national security. Why do you think the meme did that? Do you think the purpose was to point out that those particular acts of terrorism aren't labeled as such? If that was the case, then why is it singling out one demographic? Do you think Obama's drone strikes were terrorist attacks? I do. Do you think Trump's drone strikes were terrorist attacks? I do. If you think the meme is specifically calling out Trump and his administration, then it seems pretty disingenuous to ignore Russia's contributions to his rise to power. If you think it's talking purely about capitalism then why not include Xi and the Chinese regime that enables American capitalism? The only thing the meme does well is unite people against one very specific demographic in order to create a common enemy. Again, this is known as RACISM. Racism is not a mindset of hate against one group, racism is the mindset that skin tone changes how a person's mind works. This meme has reinforced racist ideas. If that was not the intent of the meme, it was not a good meme. If that was the intent of the meme, it is a terrible meme. At least consider my side before performing the mental gymnastics required to make this kind of racist shit okay.
