Bootcamps are not a golden ticket

I completed community college last year and my total for tuition and books was 2 grand. I didn’t get approved for FAFSA so that’s all out of pocket. Now I’m doing WGU computer science program and I’m on track to finish in (2) six month terms. But I believe I’ll finish early at a cost of under 5 grand because I now can get Fafsa actually.

So my CS degree will be under 10 grand. Just good for thought. Most people can get FAFSA and community college ends up giving more than enough for people to actually save some and put towards university when they transfer.

To be clear, I self teach but I do intend on doing a boot camp near or at end of my program. I just wanted to note that community college is affordable even if you live in California and aren’t eligible for financial help. Cheers.
