Both children are unvaccinated, Doctors haven't seen cases of Diphtheria in over 30 years. Should the parents be charged?

So my reaction turned into a discussion about the yes or no of mandatory vaccination (if you can please read that first, sort on "controversial"). It is a very difficult discussion and I think an important one to have. I really liked the discussion and want to do a little thought experiment since most people seem to be pro vaccine mandate. I totally get that sentiment, but find giving up part of our bodily autonomy a slippery slope. So I will probably get more downvotes for being against mandates (but still pro-vax), but here we go. I am very intersted in your views:

So lets say we go the mandatory vaccination for transmittable diseases route to protect all children and our society. How are we going to do this? Legally it will be very hard to decide which vaccines should be mandatory and which won't. Vaccines change, scientific knowledge evolves, diseases evolve. So we can't specify the vaccines without constantly having to change the law. Age then? Childhood vaccines only. But also these change and it would be age discimination. And what about children that are already to old now? Plus adult diseases can be just as dangerous, so we shouldn't want to exclude those. Maybe based on disease risk then, but how do you measure this? Risk also changes just like the diseases. Covid for example wasn't a huge risk 5 years ago. Plus 1 disease is a risk for children and others for adults or both. So we go for the easiest, most affordable option which will protect the most people: all vaccines are mandatory for everybody.

So next month you will get a letter, from now on: - yearly mandatory flu shot for all adults and children - covid shots including all the boosters that the WHO finds applicable for all. - boosters for all vaccines that expired, like for example tetanus - get all the shots you haven't got yet, like hep B/C, HPV, TBC, whatever more there is out there. - new pandemic, new vaccin for all including boosters.

Don't want to comply? High fines, jail time, whatever. What do you think? This is still for the greater good and the protection of our society. Bodily autonomy less important than the safety of us all.
