Why is this upvoted? Do people actually believe this reasoning? Especially in the guitar world? Don’t answer that. It’s rhetorical. I have enough similar minded friends to know it’s not true.

Some of us collect things, it’s a hobby in itself. We also play them, but this pedal ticked all the boxes. Interesting, fun (good story), limited, EHX (who I love), demos sound good.

I went to buy one and they were sold out. I’m not paying a dime over $350, I just won’t get one.

Buying it at a scalpers price would make me despise the pedal.

What would I have done with it? I separate and organize my pedals by amp. This probably would have been assigned to my shelf above my 65 DRRI.
