I always enjoy it when the words "safe space" are used. It reminds me of the Matrix and people taking the blue pill. It reminds me of drug addicts or alcohol abusers, doing what they have to do make the world be/feel "good" to them. Doesn't change the fact that they have problems and the world is the world as it is. Taking the blue pill doesn't mean the aliens aren't harvesting humans anymore for energy. Taking the blue pill doesn't mean the refugee crisis goes away just because you don't hear or see about it. It'll soon enter their homes too, then they are FORCED to get red pilled and it hurts even more.

People should educate themselves on things that matter in their lives, things such as economics. Knowing how to plan your money, mortgages, loans, investing in the stock market etc... eventually pay off in the end even if you don't like spending time researching it all. It's the same as the refugee crisis. I don't like it, i want it all to go away so i can keep going on with my life. But i'm smart enough to see one day i'll have to face these challenges that are now sweeping over our Eastern European friends and countries like Germany.

I don't like it, doesn't mean it's not going to affect me later in life. I should get educated on what both sides (left/right) have to say, what the refugees have to say and what consequences all of this have for my future and my children's future. The future seems bleak, prices are already rising on houses and commodities such as food and education. My parents could support a family with 1 factory worker's job. Now i won't even be able to get a loan for a house if i work alone since i'll be "unstable" for the banks, they like stability and couples with maybe even children so they'll get their money.

I digress. Educate yourself. Even if it means you have to question your own morals and values from time to time. You don't like it? Sure. You hate the racism that sometimes prevails on this sub? Fine. Doesn't mean you're not going to have to deal with this crisis in your own home sooner or later. And i'd rather not be caught off guard. I'd rather not "refugees are welcome" and get my mother raped and father abused.

As long as their sources are legit and the articles aren't made up for propaganda means, then the truth is the truth, whether it hurts or not.
