Muslims, making up 1.2% of students, take over public chill-out room at a university in Dortmund, turn it into a gender segregated prayer room, tell women they're only permitted to access the smaller part of the room if they wear a hijab and avoid perfume.

The problem is that they want to keep their ancient Islamic society even when they move to the modern 21st century world of liberal secular germany. Their religion is threateend by the freedoms that they see all around them and because they are unable to break away from their religion then they need to change their surroundings to preserve their faith. Having hot German girls walking around must be torture for them because in their heads these women are there for the taking. Wearing skimpy clothes and perfume and not even married. It's like they're in some sinful confusing paradise that they're not supposed to touch but of course because they're just young guys with normal human urges, they must be hugely conflicted inside thinking that they really really want these women, but they know their parents etc would disapprove.

The Imams and parents etc know that the danger to Islam is to have muslims living in modern liberal western societies surrounded by these temptations. The faithful must feel that their way of life is under threat.

Stealing a shared space and clumsily obstructing women and fucking everything up for themselves and everyone else is just typical ignorant arrogance. They really though they'd get away with it.

The sad thing is that they're much better organised and aligned than the society that they're living in. They all meet up for prayer etc and they're a much more cohesive subculture than those around them. So with enough time and enough effort they'll probably get their way. This didn't work out as they expected, so they'll try Plan B.. Plan C..

Islam has been enormously successful at preserving itself and spreading itself. when it takes root it's very hard to shift and as they get more confident then they'll be more assertive. As their numbers grow they'll decide that they can make the rules. they'll become the majority in some voting areas. It's happened in Britain. There's specifically muslim councillors etc.

Westerners watch TV and read some newspapers, they have guarded conversations at work (because they can't really speak their minds for fear of being judged racist etc) whereas the muslim people actually meed each other face to face and have a preacher telling them how to behave and what to think. They're organised in a way that the society around them is not.

Germany and Sweden are goign to become a LOT more right wing because of this. I wouldnt be surprised to see far right political parties gaining common acceptance during the next 20 years. The generation growing up now will support them.

Britain has become far more right wing during my lifetime and immigration has been one of the key drivers of that shift.

Which is very sad because I like liberal ideas. Socialism has been great for countries like Germany and Sweden. It was great for Britain, but its on the decline now.

This isn't good for ordinary people and it's not good for europe as a whole.
