There is no evidence

That's not completely true. There is some evidence. Just like a lot of other crimes, there's a need for it to be investigated, to check with witnesses, to see whose story is inconsistent, and who has been caught lying about the case.

Sure, this is being discussed in a political arena. There are some people who have their red hats pulled down so far over their eyes that they wouldn't even admit that President Pussygrabber cheats on his wives, but the situation we have now is that there are enough leads that they are worth investigating, and enough evidence against Kavanaugh that he wouldn't be hired for any position of responsibility in any reputable company.
