I went on a trip to the States last year to see a friend in Wisconsin, and me and my friend figured the perfect way to end the trip would be a road trip to Tennessee for Bristol! Only went down on the Saturday, but when we went we stayed in a Super 8 in Morristown, about an hour from the track! Was actually a really good setup because the hotel room wasn't through the roof expensive (we paid about $100 per night) and the drive really wasn't all that bad as we hung around the track for a bit after the race and waited for a lot of the race traffic to leave before hitting the road! Would definitely recommend the hotel if you don't mind a hour drive after the race. Worked out well for the drive back to Wisconsin too as it was right along the interstate along the route we were taking back to Wisconsin so wasn't a detour in any way.
