Buffy should have become a cop in season 6

(To take this way too seriously for a moment...) Many police departments require at least an associate's degree, and they're not very flexible with how officers use their time. She couldn't just go investigate a neck bite in the middle of a 12-hour shift if she happened to be assigned to a different duty or part of town.

I think it would've been cool if the show decided to have her stick with construction for a while. Obviously she made a bad first impression with that one crew because of the trio messing with her, but a rough first day could be overcome, and a little coaching would've fixed her poor safety practices. Lots of interesting plot opportunities there, especially if she ended up doing contracting in occupied homes and businesses. That would introduce her to a new family/company every week or so, many of whom would have spooky shit going on... Damn, now I want a supernatural construction worker show, instead of the million supernatural cop and medical shows!
