Can we talk frank about the new subreddit rules?

Alright. Here's the thing. All these rules existed before the update. All of them. With perhaps the exception of one or two that no one is complaining about. It is your duty as a user of a subreddit to check the rules if they are available to read. It's also your failure as a user for not knowing that they existed. Not knowing a rule exists, doesn't make it legal.

Now let me let you in on a few things. One, I checked the rules many times. I have been here a long time. Perhaps over two years. I have seen the sub go through many phases. I was here for many things and I've seen most of these things happen and I've seen them enforced. In fact I was recently looking at the rules and said to myself: "hey, these rules are slightly outdated! The site link post, YouTube link comment isn't there, and a few other things. So I'll contact the mods and remind them to update it". They did. That made me happy. I knew these runs existed. You didn't. You failed. You should've read it. You don't get to complain. This is just a reminder to the likes of you that there are rules.

Let me tell you something about rule making. Rules are created because of the acts if individuals. Someone does something that annoys or is unacceptable by the upper management and it becomes banned. I don't care what you think about it, that's how it works.

Let me tell you another secret. You can do whatever the fuck you want. You think they will stop you? No. They rarely delete store pages nowadays and they let so many things slide, I think the only thing that's currently in any danger of deletion is a furry picture of Pat or something. Everything is allowed. Unsure what to do? Post a text post, those are fine to the most part.

Let me tell you something about myself. I don't give a shit about what's posted. Fuck the community as far as I'm concerned. I don't give a shit. Do whatever. Do you want to have 15 threads a week all asking "should I start Ippo?" the answer is yes. It's a fucking anime, you aren't moving to a different country. Just fucking check it out. I don't give a shit. This isn't the community's sub. This is the moderators sub, and they kindly allow us to be here. That's how it works. Not the other way around.

In conclusion, I don't give a shit about your childish complains about rules that have existed before you joined here. These are great rules that prevent this sub from being awful and filled with random bullshit that doesn't matter.
