no. Do NOT quit - make them fire you for incompetence at your job instead. See this tutorial

Pretty much from what I have heard. IF you do it all correctly and have all your documentation and ducks in a row then it might take as short as 2 to 3 weeks. Most people screw it up though - the UI application process appears designed to promote that :(
