I knew someone whose mom used to call their customer service number and complain about the service in order to get more free hours back in the 56K days. They coasted for a while on that.

There were times in the chat rooms where you could copy and paste someone's chat messages and paste them in a report window to get them booted (like if they were posting racist or threatening comments in the chat), but it seemed like you could add or straight-up fabricate things and still game people out of rooms. On one occasion when I was eleven, I copied some text from a chat from someone who was being annoying, and I added "and you can all eat my penis" to the end of the line. They were kicked soon after.
