Career and Education Questions

major questions 1. when started studying calc1 in my engineering major and also decided to become a data scientist — my love for math grew even more after taking linear algebra properly; 2. I really don't know. Educate yourself via internet?

algebra questions 1. Just to force you in taking calc2. Idk what you learn in calc2, but in my major I learn Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs)in calc2. In this case, LA would make more sense as a pre-requisite for calc2. But it doesn't make any sense for any calc to be a pre-requisite for LA.

  1. I don't live in the US and I'm unfamiliar with this major, but if it's similar to LA at best I believe it could help you a bit with ODEs. LA doesn't help much when you're studying integrals in multivariable calculus for instance.

  2. I don't believe there's any pre requisite for LA besides understanding of logic and capacity to think abstractly, so I don't see why not. I recommend the playlist Algebra 1M in YouTube.
