Do you have to be Catholic in order to go to heaven?

I don't know... I think its weird that most people say here that its rare that non catholics go to heaven... I believe that non Catholics who are decent people (they don't have to be perfectly EXTREMELY good) will go to heaven most likely.

Many may ask, well if non Catholics are in a state of grace, whats the point of the Catholic Church...I think the point of it still stands such that it is the objective truth...but God in his mercy allows and accepts people to stay in their own religion....its evident that God may even want them to stay in their own religion, since that if they came to the Catholic faith it wouldn't be right for them or something like that. Idk if its true, just what I think.

I don't think simply knowing about the teachings of the faith necessarily means that you are held culpable and in a state of mortal sin, I think you gotta understand in a small sense why the faith is the objective truth as well or just understand certain things as well. I don't think knowledge in of itself brings condemnation.

For example I know everything about Islam and I know of all the miracles but I don't believe, because God hasn't showed me that is where he wants me through spiritual means.

Plus I mean if you think logically does it really matter what faith you are in?? Most people in the Church believe as long as you are a decent person and are turning your life around, who cares? You were in a bad lifestyle now you are changing things up, and if everyone here yells and screams at you, who gives a poop, they aren't God..we are all human and I think goodness is enough for God. Do you think God is really gonna turn someone away who was a druggy and almost killed himself but chose the wrong religion when changing his life up?? NO!

God is much more merciful than that...and I am sorry if you believe in a God that isn't like that if you dislike my comment.
