I encourage that you do take it seriously. if you want to talk about serious things, it’s only reasonable that you take it seriously. What you said either implies that you don’t understand what a straw man argument is, or that you’re okay with misusing the term in lieu of an appropriate reaction. Straw men are used deliberately to frame ideas in a way that isn’t aligned with the fact of the matter. My response was an overly sarcastic simplification of the idea based on my understanding of it.

There are very intelligent people and ideas on that side of the argument, it makes ideas like this very easy to poke fun at. My point being that the oddity here isn’t that I’m making fun of the CBC’s ideas, the oddity is that for it’s size and amount of funding, the CBC’s ideas are very poorly conceptualized and implemented
