In celebration of the Flyers' win at Wells Fargo West, here are our stats as a team against the Pens

And that they had to tank to get a generational talent to get those exact same cups. Like literally tank.

The Flyers are a winning organization. Sure no cups since 75 but a couple (and by a couple i mean a lot) of Finals. Sometimes you run into the greatest player ever, other times you run into an organization that has been making the post season for 20+ years straight now, other times you run into a player that should be playing for you because in the few times that the Flyers really sucked they were able to fucking lose the lottery and sometimes you just suck but in Flyers case, even when we suck, it's not because we are trying to suck, it's just because something did not go according to plan.

The Flyers are going to be winners, again, soon because you can say whatever you want about Ed Snider, calling him dumb, saying that he's ruining everything, but the man wants to win more than anyone else and he's willing to put everything into that. We just need to learn how to finish the job and get a bit more lucky but the Flyers have been trying for so long to get another cup, they've been so competitive through the years, that it's bound to happen.

So the "yeah but we have 1 more cup hehehe" argument is pretty retarded. Sure you have 1 more cup but thanks to who? Lemieux and Crosby. Before Lemieux the Penguins were irrelevant, they won 2 cup, they went back to being irrelevant, almost left the City, Crosby comes and they win another one. Story tells us that after Crobsy retires they will go back to being losers and tanking for another generational talent but generational talents dont grow on trees, they dont always succeed either, you are dependent on being lucky and actually winning the lottery... I'd hate that as a fan but to each their own.

Its kinda like poker. A nobody can easily beat the best poker player in the world in a hand, or a couple of hands, but after 4 or 5 minutes the best poker player will crush the nobody. Why? Because he's better.

So it's a bit of a rant but i hate fanbases as theirs. They Flyers have 2 cups and the Penguins have 3 but i think i speak for all of this subreddit when i say that i wouldnt trade the history of both franchise or the players or the fans... You name it.
