Why the Chicago Bears Are Protecting Justin Fields

Like it or not they’re trying to build a winning culture. Poles and Eberflus were hired to build a winning franchise. If Fields develops into that QB it’ll be great and the search will be over. If he’s floundering while the run game has been effective, they’re going to run a ton to try and win the game.

Herbert was tearing it up last game, how do you justify not feeding him the ball when he’s been your best offensive player that game. If Fields makes plays, he’ll be fed the ball more often. The fact is he just wasn’t making the plays that an NFL QB needs to make last game. Instead of letting him get sacked more and turn the ball over, they gave it to the guy who had the best chance of keeping them in the game
