Some kids don't handle name calling or any type of physical attacks well.

I was called a "n word" by grandmother. I wouldn't call it abuse but it definitely stuck with me as a kid to never stand up for myself because I'll get called crude names.

My mother called me a "wh*re" because I was feeding my best friend's boyfriend ideas that she would like. It stuck with me to never talk to my parents about my friendships or relationships ever again.

Were those things physically abusive? No. Emotionally? It could be. You don't talk to your kids like that.

Those things stuck with me, traumatized may be too strong a word, but don't you ever underestimate what does or doesn't affect a child.

I hope you never reproduce, because I feel like you'd be the type of narc parent who'd completely gaslight every thing you've done for your child.
