Christians show me in the New Testament your justification for self-defense since Jesus taught unequivocal pacifism.

As we should know, the bible was originally written in a language that has less dialect and vocabulary as we have today. That is what the Catholic Church is for and that is why we have the Vatican and the Pope as well as the Catechism; which is the continuation of Christ's Church which Jesus left the keys for Peter who today we would call Pope St. Francis.

Greater good for the people would be the same as love your neighbor. If everyone loves their neighbor, it will be the greater good for the people. If everyone is selfish then it would the opposite.

He let him self die to sacrifice himself to show how he wants us to live today as compared to how they lived in the Old Testament. So he sacrificed himself to give us an Epiphany of what Sacrifice really means. He foreshadowed this with Abraham. That is why he came down. Sacrifice back then was a selfish type of sacrifice.

Violence isn't not acceptable if your intentions are for immoral reasons. But bc what belongs to Caesar is Caesar, so if you are in the Military fighting against Evil, God will not hold that against you, he will hold against you what your intentions are inside your heart.

That is why Mike the Archangel is a Militant against Evil and he is known to be an angel holding a sword to fight against evil. There is no such thing as a Straight Shot in this life and God shows us that in many ways. There is an Irony we must accept. Other wise life would be perfect and your black and white questions would never exist.
