Us citizens who want to keep gun control laws the way they currently are, why?

I'd like to give people who make gun threats the same treatment as people who make bomb threats.

"I am gonna kill you with muh gun!" should yield the same sentence as "I'm gonna blow up the airport with muh bomb!"

Firearms are way more reliable, precision made mass-killing machines. They are in every way superior to home-made explosives.

Also, consider that out of the 30,000 people who die by firearm every year in the US, 20,000 die by their own hands. Suicide.

That means every year, year after year, you're more likely to blow your own brains out than to use the gun for defense, kill anyone else, or be killed by anyone else, or have an 'accident', combined.

Now when you combine pathetically 'killing yourself' with the notion of 'making the world pay', you have a perfect recipe for a mass shooting.

20,000 potential mass-killing+suicide volunteers, who wanted to die, anyway. What's stopping the rest of the suicidal losers from competing for 'high score'?
