You're buying his premise that a woman "letting" Donald Trump molest her constitutes consent on her part. It does not.

Consider the broader circumstances. Imagine you're a woman staffing a function where Donald Trump is present. You walk past him, and he grabs your crotch. Questions you have to consider in that moment, within a fraction of a second, include:

• Will a strong negative reaction make him stop? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe he stops right now and continues to pursue you for the rest of the night.
• If I stop him, will my boss send me home? Will I lose my job? Quite possibly.
• If that happens, can I afford the lost wages and/or lost job? Probably not.
• Do I even have the guts to make a scene right here, right now? Maybe, maybe not.
• Am I prepared to handle a possible media circus if I react? Almost certainly not.

This is not consent. This is grudging acceptance that the gritty reality of a situation is vastly different from how things should be.

The absence of a no does not imply a yes.
