The reason UBI will never happen is because corporate America's #1 goal is to keep unions and worker's rights as low as possible.

If they start to hand out 1000$'s like candy, the general people would begin to have bargaining rights, due to no longer living from paycheck to paycheck, and could begin issuing strikes.

The powers that be (the Oligarchs, the ones that actually rule America) don't like that, and as such, UBI would never happen.

Or it would be happen and be squashed quickly under propaganda (these lazy people are living off my wages again!) just like OWS was quenced by a couple of violent actors planet in there by the establishment.
