Backup plan if you don't get into med/dent/optometry/etc. school

Even family medicine is good. Those doctors who are in it for the money, and there are certainly many, endeavor to open up clinics where they sell their services. As for family medicine, I am not entirely sure as the government backs up most expenses for healthcare in Canada, but family medicine private clinics may generate revenue. Otherwise, it is certainly the surgical specialties where the highest potential lies. There are several eye surgeons(ophthalmologists) and plastic surgeons who open up one or several clinics even selling their services are considerably wealthy. There is an eye surgeon in the GTA who works at several hospitals and has two private medical clinic companies working with numerous associates. It is definitely a hassle, but along the side, they went to Kellogg's School of Management's Physician CEO program and Uoft for other business related programs. They have also invested into pharmaceutical and surgical technology companies particularly involving the eye. They are only doing so much more. Furthermore, there are a variety of plastic surgeons in Toronto as well as the entire GTA with clinics that are very well known and highly successful making potentially millions or who knows. They aren't even selling cosmetic and aesthetic procedures, but non-surgical procedures such as Botox and so many other treatments that involve highly advanced technologies. Plastic surgery residency is undoubtedly one of the if not the most competitive surgical residencies, but some people have made it and they are certainly making the most out of it. Hence, I am talking about all medical and mostly surgical specialties where you can open clinics and provide a variety of services which in turn makes an abundance of money. It is those doctors who open up those clinics that are very wealthy. I know many teenagers who aspire to be surgeons and what not. They want a great life, good money, and so on. The highest and most grandest stage for doing so is apparently medicine, particularly surgery. It's all about money, and making money is very difficult. Living is difficult, so the most basic jobs or careers really don't make much facing the expenses that must be paid in today's world and in the future in which who knows what will happen. I know parents who are very hell bent on their children becoming doctors without knowing anything about the process, acceptance, rates, and everything. Parents encourage their children and adolescents to become doctors for the money and good life that comes with it. So, people do everything they possible can to do that. Do those plastic surgeons with clinics give a damn about really helping people, treating diseases, and wanting a better health outcome in society? They are just doing a bunch of unnecessary aesthetic procedures that nobody actually needs and that don't treat anything.
