The coming storm over anti-Black racism in education

curriculum that is not culturally and historically relevant and the way that Black males are treated have all contributed to the lack of enthusiasm for educational attainment

Math, English, Law, Civics, CompSci, Science all of them are relevant.

after somehow making it to the post-secondary level, find themselves ill-equipped to do well.

Is that because they find Math, English, Law, Civics, CompSci, Science etc not to be relevant? Subjects outside of those at a highschool level are not going to prepare you for anything post secondary outside of trades. Yes, I am leaving arts programs fully out of it as taking those in post secondary will leave you ill equipped and in debt.

Notice I left History out of the lists above? I did so because as someone who had encyclopedias as a kid I found high school history classes and textbooks to be almost non relevant and oversimplified. I say this as a white european male who got kicked out of every other history class for asking WHY? , HOW? to the point that I was suspended and ended up skipping the class for the rest of the year only showing up to hand in assignments that I found out about from classmates.
