Community manager at Avalanche "Hogwarts Legacy has no microtransactions"

It's literally your second sentence. I'm paraphrasing because mobile doesn't let you directly copy text "no mtx or lootboxes, and that was fake".

At no point did I claim the game was perfect. People that still play this will be the first to tell you other wise. Unless I'm missing something, xp boosters are hardly p2w. I also don't recall saying they didn't have microtransactions, so good work making shit up there.

I mean, at least you tried to use a source? Nobody bothers to do that much. Too bad it was screenrant (which tells me ypu did .0001 second of research) which after reading that entire article at no point do they directly reference what "p2w" items are. XP boosters are not p2w. Is it shitty that CD did it? Absolutely. Does it provide an advantage? In terms of slightly leveling your characters faster; I guess? Still a shitty move regardless, but still not p2w. Weapons and armor aren't level-walled, but scale eith your level, so rhe only "advantage" this gives is not having to deal with level grind slightly less.

I'm sorry (no, I'm not) that you hold a grudge against a game you don't play, and sure if you did, you'd find legitimate reasons not to like it: cheap a.i, countless game breaking bugs, half-assed story dlc that they touted would be great and free because of people paying for skins and battlepasses, and holy shit was war for wakanda a step in the right direction but such a let down, no clearly defined endgame, no endgame loop for that matter leading you into a rabbit hole of "wtf am I even doing here" after grinding for gear and realizing that that's about it, did I mention some of the skins that you can pay for are ass recolors, or how they charge extra for movie accurate skins that were supposed to be included at launch? And some of them aren't even that good, or how they removed the ability to buy or earn skins in game to sell them in the cash shop? As you can see,I could go on and on about everything wrong with this game. But you would know all that if you played the game.

Let me know when they actually add p2w mechanics like buying busted armor and weapons that will allow me to steamroll through the higher end content. Not defending the game, in fact, haven't picked it up since War for Wakanda, but the fact remains that it is not p2w.
