[CommunityDiscussion] Now is the safest time to buy from Agora

You know I thought that myself a while ago but then I realized that everyone else was probably thinking that too, so the admins could be counting on the fact that we wouldn't expect another exit immediately after, but that we would then realize that would be the actual ideal time but then slowly rationalize it back down and go back to business as usual, and THEN they strike.

So that's why I am not planning on vending on Agora.

But in seriousness, those types of mental gymnastics / paranoia-fueled leaps of fear exist because all of it could technically be possible and we'd never know. Because Agora is still just like every market that has pulled a runner to this point. Or there's nothing preventing them from following suit. If they for whatever reason wanted or had to do it, they could, regardless of how reluctant they were.

Agora has earned a degree of trust, certainly. But that doesn't change that they could cash in that earned trust, so to speak, very quickly and thus royally fuck a lot of people again. We should not have to count on the fact that they're stand up dudes or whatever. Their honor should not be the one thin barrier betweeA well-designed market could still potentially be abandoned, but not with a cent of unearned money. I feel that way so I'm gonna act on it and within a timeframe vend only on markets that offer properly implemented multi-sig escrow as a requirement. I will also try to transition to only accepting multi-sig orders on those markets. For the same reason I don't like n them and tens of millions of our dollars. Even if they forever upheld their promises and quietly and safely ran the market, there's a flaw in the design if they could decide to bounce.

For the same reason I don't like an admin's honor being the only thing keeping him from our money, I don't like my own being the only thing (from an outside perspective) keeping me from stealing from someone so I don't even want to accept FE transactions. Those types of transactions have their place but I don't feel like DNMs are it.
