I mean you could be an absolute genius in your field but in other areas be a complete idiot. I’m pretty smart when it comes to politics and history, if you ask me to do anything above changing a tire or jumping a battery, I’m less than useless if we’re driving and the car breaks down.

I’ve known plenty of generally smart people in fields like medicine and law that don’t know the first thing about Politics. It’s what my problem with Ben Carson was, other than insurance, he doesn’t know the first thing about being president. People were like “he must be smart he’s a neurosurgeon” which is true, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t an idiot in other things.
