Cracks in Stucco of New House. Is this normal?

I had a Lennar house that had cracks appear on the front and rear stucco of the home. I think the problem ended up with them installing the vapor barrier in the wrong order or something like that, causing the stucco to crack and eventually fall off, in large 2+ feet chunks. It happened to about a dozen homes in a row. These cracks took years to form.

It's not normal, and if your stucco is like my Lennar home, adding sealant doesn't fix much, it will continue to deteriorate till you have to hire a stucco guy to cut out and replace.

I have another home with stucco, custom home, not related to Lennar, and it did have some micro cracks - but the house was built in 2003. I had the house repainted in 2020 and the painter repaired all the cracks before panting with elastomeric paint. Can't see any cracks after they painted, and 3 years later, still looks perfect.
