Previous owners visiting

We had a similar situation, but different in that it wasn't planned. We bought a rural house from overseas (after having viewed months earlier while on vacation) and when we finally came back to the U.S. 9 months after closing, we drove down our long wooded driveway, there was a car parked by the house. We were a little nervous until we saw the previous owner (75 year old woman) with her daughter. We had not yet been inside the house since we owned it and she was standing on the porch to welcome us as we drove in. It was strange. Turns out she was visiting and just wanted to walk down the path to look at the lake. I honestly can't remember if we asked her if she wanted to go inside, but she didn't. She did want to walk through her garden and look at the spring flowers. I think she was embarrassed that we were there. She knew we lived overseas and probably didn't think she would see us. It didn't bother us and to our knowledge she has never come back.
