The Current State of Healers (End Game Raiding)

There are two aspects of sch I think they shouldn't have touched:

  • Embrace.

  • Aetherflow.

I'm not sure where to begin really, I healed with SCH during speedruns and embrace was a huge portion of the overall HPS, the better you manage your fairy the better healing you were able to cover. SCH is the type of job that should be rewarded when properly micromanaged and nerfing that aspect with embrace is not justified. If I had to compare the efficiency of embrace to a regen tick, sure it is better on paper, but when you are actually applying it, it's simply a different case. Regen will always have its perks over an AI pet and I can think of so many cases in savage where the fairy would struggle to be as efficient simply due to not being able to command the fairy during CC (getting stunned, death, fetter, a5 transformation mechanics, pushback mechanics), target is out of range and the fairy might have to move between targets with proper placement, and the fairy getting caught up in CC herself not to mention the buggy AI. Regen is always flexible and ofc it's worth the gcd but it shouldn't be the baseline for embrace's nerf if that's their reasoning. Everyone can sit an argue about how embrace is better since no gcd nor mp cost but regen could be better in so many cases since its also a snapshot'd HoT.

The fairy management should be rewarded properly since it is a core essence of what defines a sch.

Aetherflow shouldn't have been touched either, reason being that piety is still core for progression. If you were talking about speedruns then yes, piety is not even a thing due to energy drain spam for dps reasons, it's just not the same for progression especially with all the MP cost increases.

I personally played sch at level 70, imo all the new abilities make sense even though they consume aetherflow stacks which makes sch very limited with all resourceless healing options from aetherflow abilities. Overall, at this point, I think sch will be more challenging to optimize over the other two healers and I don't think that's what SE was aiming for in terms of "making it easier to play"
