You know what I’ll say it - the age of consent in the majority of the United States is 16. She’s probably 24. Literally the only thing wrong about it is that she has authority as a teacher and that’s the big difference in laws.

There was a significant age difference between my now wife when we started dating years ago. But my biggest gripe is how little freedom I had at 16-17 when I could literally fend for myself.

Making payments on my own car, graduated high school early and enrolled in college, worked full time. Yet I was considered a dependent on taxes, and couldn’t use financial aid so I could only take the classes I could afford.

Fine, change laws for fucking and raise it to 18. But I swear everything else could be lowered to 16. Being an adult isn’t hard and there’s no sense hand holding for that long.
