Custodian worked graveyard shift at Boston College for 23 years so children could attend tuition-free

I can see where you're coming from. my parents were dirt poor when they came to america and popped out 4 kids here. we went from poor food stamps to household income of 150k. that seems like a lot of money, but when you factor in the cost for college with no financial aid and 4 going to expensive top schools, it would've been the same as being poor and getting fancial aid believe it or not.

paying for the family's health insurance, supporting 3 grandparents, raising 4 kids, and helping out other family with only a recent 150k household income right when kids are going off to college basically gives no free money.

my parents joke about just not working and getting financial aid and soaking up scholarship benefits and other things instead of every penny going to tuition.

yea, higher education is expensive and fucking blows. it also destroys middle class family incomes in my opinion.
