Daily Discussion for Coronavirus (COVID-19) - 25 May

Can't really compare to the US as a whole when they never had a set of rules. You'd need to compare a likewise state to the UK. A one that gets a lot of international travellers. Like NY compared to London.

Both massive spikes, both now on the downward slope after fearing their healthcare system was going to be under run and both of which put in measure that were ultimately unneeded but necessary.

Saying that though. There's not a second rise. Which is understandable too, that'll come later. But we now have the facilities to cope which is good.

YOLO'ing was bad, we know that now and it's a good job we never did go down that route. We hard a partial lockdown instead which still wasn't good enough, a hard lockdown was needed.

Thankfully we're in the position to reopen under certain circumstances as we're beyond the peak and we now have the facilities to cope.
