switching from default to red fox feels so liberating, i don't even really know why

anyways, i started playing again for the first time in three months, and i don't know what it is, but i've been getting sort of destroyed by my friends and practice partners. admittedly (a) they're considerably better than me and (b) my tech skill isn't good right now. can't practice movement either since i don't have a setup atm

one of the things i've established is that, uh, i'm actually really bad at punishing fastfallers, especially spacies. it's really hard to win matches against people better than you when a "good punish" is ~30% and your average one is ~15% and they hit you way harder

i feel like i'm learning a lot about how fraudulent my defense is too haha. i'm doing the same options out of shield every time and there are tons of holes in my neutral, so i get blown up pretty hard. i think it's a combination of approaching in predictable spots, approaching in really dumb, unsafe ways, and not really knowing how to deal with people who move faster than me. i'm going to work on all of that though since i hate losing

that being said it's really fun to get some practice in against people better than you. i feel like my fox is going to be really cool in due time. i don't think it'll be ready for the arcadian but in spite of that it'll be a good learning experience
