So I currently own a pair of Afterglow Wireless Headsets. I've been using for them for four years for listening to music (edm and hip-hop) and watching anime. They keep my ears close to the drivers so the sound is clear (at least to my ears; I'm no audiophile) but the comfort isn't there and I'd like the bass to be a little bit more punchy. So far I've tried the Sony MDRxb950bt's and the ATH S700Bt .The bass on the MDRs was uncontrolled and muffled everything else I heard. The S700bt's were alright but I was looking for something a little more build quality and fun. I'm now looking for wired over-the-ear headphones and was just wondering if there were any significant problems/complaints with the m50x for everyday use (watching movies, listening to music, etc). I know they're overhyped but I only have a week before I move to decide on a pair of headphones to purchase. I'm not really looking for a "flat" sound signature; I'm looking more for balance I guess? It's hard to describe when I can't get the frequencies for the Afterglow Wireless series.
