Daily Headphone Purchase Advice thread

Budget - €100 (lightly flexible, as in €10 or €20)
Source - mp3's on my Nexus 5 primarily, sometimes my macbook pro
Isolation - Preferably quite a lot of isolation. I will use these on my bike commute and train rides. Although a lack of isolation is not a dealbreaker
Type - closed over-ear
Tonal balance - Not sure as this will be my first "proper" headphones
Past headphones - an old pair of WESC Bongo's. I quite like the sound, maybe because i'm used to it and haven't used anything better. I don't like the fact that they are quite tight on my head and don't offer a lot of isolation (on-ears)
Music - Mostly rock, alternative, pop ... that kind of stuff. i.e. Linkin Park, Silversun Pickups, Imagine Dragons, The XX, Oscar and the wolf. Furthermore, some soundtrack music while studying, especially the GOT one.
Other - Detachable cable is a must as that's where my last ones broke, foldable would be a nice option. Preferably not too bulky as I will be using these mostly on the go.
Location Belgium. The prices on www.amazon.de are quite representative.
Options

  • UE 6000: ticks all the boxes, but since they are discontinued not really found in Belgium. And ordering from the German amazon might run into some issues if it ever breaks.
  • ATH-M40x
  • Sennheiser HD 439
  • ...

I'm always open to more recommandations, or some advice on wich of the current options is the better pick.I have already read a lot of recommendation posts, that's where I got my current options from. But sometimes nothing beats some personal advice. Hence my question here. Thanks in advance for reading and any replies.
