Daily Questions Megathread (January 11, 2021)

I just started 2 days ago and am sitting on 20 intertwined fates (advent rank 21 right now), I really want sucrose but am not sure if it is worth it. I pulled bennet on the novice wishes along with noelle. I also got fichsl from the basic pulls yesterday. Lisa is mommy so I will 100% never use fischl and don't care for getting bennet all that much again. Albedo is cool but its a 5 star so I don't even factor him in really. And I am not a fan of any of the 4 stars in the approaching banner. So my questions come down to
Do beginners have an accelerated rate for acquiring primo gems and fates? If I spend all these fates in the hopes of getting sucrose will it be much longer to get those resources back than it took me the first time?
Do you guys think it is worth it to spend my fates on this considering it will be at least a 2-5 weeks until the next banners comes and ends?
I have a couple characters who I would love to get and I just want to make sure I have all the fates required to get them in odds reasonably when they come around.
