Daily Wire's Matt Walsh endorses arranged marriages: "We'd be happier if we were matched up against our will"

The funniest part about this comment is that this is pretty much the foundational theory in an incel's belief system anyway. Their favorite thing to talk about apart from their wrist sizes is the 80/20 rule. My personal hot take is that they're not necessarily wrong, but they massively exaggerate its influence over dating spaces that aren't just hookup apps like Tinder. Like, I wish I could just take them to a bar and let them see for themselves the kinds of bar creatures who still manage to pick up women, lmao.

People aren't ignorant of that option, they've rejected it. They want long-term monogamous relationships. That's not possible for a large segment of men, for arithmetic reasons, so to adapt to an imbalance (some) men end up sharing drunk women.

But back on topic, I think in India's case, it's not only the fact that their birth ratios are so fucked but also that "dating culture" doesn't really exist there in the first place. In a culture where it's customary to have your suitor chosen for you, why bother with learning how to speak to the opposite sex? Or learning how to accept rejection?

That may true, but if it is it only adds to the other two: birth ratios (as you mention), and polygamy.

If you are in a more liberal area of India that has dating culture, you still have multiple men competing for one woman. That is going to affect how both sexes behave when they date.

It's just a shitty situation overall, made even shittier by the mass export of American culture to their society which unfairly holds them to Western standards regarding relationships, ultimately culminating in a bunch of onliners calling their home an "incel country."

They'd reject it overnight if a mindset change could fix it, humans are attuned to finding ways to reproduce like any creature.

It doesn't happen because moving to a liberal area of India to try this wouldn't affect the underlying imbalance caused by the other two forces. So the culture sees no solution manifest, and rejects that form of liberalism.
