David Choe’s 2014 podcast interview with Asa Akira

There was a recent uproar about Bobby Lee (who is friends with the people in this clip) addressing this type of content. He was in a similar situation where he told a very fucked up story on a podcast and people got mad years later.

His entire explaination was that at the time this kind of shock content worked really well, both with the podcast hosts and the audience, and the more fucked up shit you can talk about the more people would come back to listen to you. That time has passed now and you have to be way more careful with the kind of "stories" you put out into the world.

Not saying this is a resonable excuse but that's what someone who has been in the industry for a very long time has said. If someone actually comes forward with accusations it would be a different story of course but I don't know if that's the case here
