They fired him for this and now he’s getting evicted

Well I know those concerns all too well haha. One of our teachers left halfway through last year and they had me sub every day for a month, until they found a real teacher to replace them. Still $14 an hour, no benefits offered (I think they just scraped by the legal requirement with that one since spring break happened in the middle). I had to piece together lessons from their old PowerPoints, do my own research to find ways to fill the class period, and ask the other teacher in that department for help every day.

I know for a fact they had already been searching for a replacement teacher months before they left, and just couldn't. The principal at the time is also no longer there anyway. But of course it was an unacceptable situation. I had no knowledge of the state board's requirements, no classroom management training - I had to teach myself how to administer tests on their online tool and put in scores for it.

I think the real solution would have been for the principal to help me every day. God knows he didn't do anything else around the school.
