Dealing with incompetent IT staff

haha not even remotely close. Most of my scripts(not all) just use the get- commands. They are simple quality of life scripts. I may not really like some of the people I work with but I’m not stupid enough to put my self in a spot to get sued. I wont I ever think about this place the second I’m gone. If I really wanted to do damage to this company I would just report them to sox, MS and any other software vendor we do business with. But like I said before I would not even give this place a second though after I’m gone and reporting them is not worth my time and I know I would only F over the people I like to work with. I'm not the bridge burning type or one that holds on to drama from past jobs. I created my scripts because checking servers manually is tedious and time consuming and I wanted to learn PS. If others are fine still doing that I cant force them to care about not wasting their own and company time. I don’t live in some privileged bubble where only I'm aware that powershell exists. They have access to the same internet and tools as I do. Like I said before I cant force people to care. I can only make my job easier. If my scripts get deleted when I wipe my HDD before I hand in my workstation, oh well. I'm not going to make any sort of effort to save them for anyone since I'm the only one that used them. Its not like they would even know what to do with them even if they did have them. Its one of those you got to learn to walk before you can run sorts of deals. Where is see just a few dozen lines of simple PS code they would see a wall of alien text. Id rather not leave my scripts in the hands of people like that. Most are innocuous but I do have a few that if changed in the wrong way could do some damage. Its like leaving a loaded gun with some kids and telling them not to turn the safety off. Its just more responsible to get rid of the gun then take the chance they would shoot themselves. Last thing I want it to keep getting calls after I have moved on to another job.
