Decision on a grinder

I've save the best and most important for last- taste. They are in totally different ballparks. Not in a superior/inferior way, simply in a different way. The Kony is going to highlight the "high", "bright" or "floral" notes within the blend. This "trait" can present itself as harshness (too "bright") at times-at least for my tongue. The Major is going to emphasize the "mid-range notes" if you will. It also seems to serve up a more "blended" offering. The latter seems "smoother" to my tongue. The downside is, I find it a little harder to pick out those florals. Example: right now with my current rendition of my home roasted blend I'm saying "yumm, nice chocolate, raisin, rum" with a Major ground shot. The exact same blend pulled from my Kony says "yumm, nice rasberry and cinnamon with maybe a hint of orange". Mouthfeel ("thickness" of the shot) as alluded to earlier, is exceptional for both...

For this reason, there are some blends pulled with a Kony ground shot that I just don't like. Too "edgy" for me. Some people like that "definition" in the cup. It's just not always enjoyable for me personally. OTOH, I've never had a shot I didn't like ground with the Major, but... at times I struggle to pick out particular "flavors" in the cup.
