I don't care what the "experts" say. I tamp the grounds in my Moka pot and it's awesome.

Sorry to hurt your delicate feelings, but kids your age shouldn't play around with dangerous contraptions like moka pots and parrot what they hear here and there.

As for your precious comment;

  1. "This thing has been around for over 100 years"

89 years do not 'round up' to 'over 100 years' anyway. It's mere exaggeration for the sake of rhetoric.

  1. "use it like recommended"

Have you ever read a Bialetti user's instructions sheet? Have you ever seen their incoherent and vague counsel?

  1. "millions of us that enjoy awesome coffee"

Facepalm.

  1. "9 out of 10 Italian homes have a Moka pot"

9/10 and 100 % are almost always made up statistics. And if so, what does it prove? "9 out of 10 Italian homes" have Fiat cars too. It only shows that it has been successfully marketed, mainly thanks to the face claim of making espresso. Besides, "Italian homes" are not very keen on technical aspects of coffee brewing. What reference do they serve?
