Epic has to continue tinkering with the speeds of things and how things work for this reason:

there is a large portion of the community who will constantly try to find new ways to animation cancel, shoot faster, headglitch, etc etc.. you name it, they will try to find a way to work around it so they have an UNINTENDED advantage over other players. These people will shout from the rooftops to GIT GUD and that it just widens the skill gap.. but the reality of it is that the game is intended to play a certain way, the way Epic makes it. People abusing things that give them an unfair advantage will continue to force Epic to nerf things more and more. The game is suffering, and I have my gripes with the direction Epic is taking certain aspects of the game.. but they are doing a pretty good job I'd say not nerfing things into the ground without necessity.
